It doesn't take more than a drive around town to see that construction in Bozeman is still booming! The growth in the northwest part of town, in particular, is going crazy as Bozeman sprawls out towards Four Corners. Most of these new Bozeman subdivisions have both single and multi-family homes being built and focus on a neighborhood feel with trails, open space, and parks. Here's a look at some of Bozeman's newest subdivisions.
This subdivision has quickly become one of the most desirable subdivisions in Bozeman because of its central location and high-end custom homes. Located between Ferguson Ave and Flanders Mill on two sides, with Oak and Durston bordering the other two. This 137-acre park-like neighborhood is in a prime location near the 100-acre Regional Park and several Bozeman schools, including the new high school, Gallatin High. The subdivision will have 36-acres of parkland and common space throughout. There are two large ponds in Flanders Mill as well as a portion of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust trail system. We love how much this subdivision is focusing on the use of outdoor space and recreation that makes living in Bozeman so great. There are several homes currently for sale in Flanders Mill, as well as building lots for sale.
This Bozeman subdivision was designed to create a real community feel. It centers around two lakes totaling 12-acres and offers big mountain views. Located at the corner of Durston and Cottonwood, this will be the last phase of the popular Valley West subdivision. The concept for the Lakes is the use of "woonerfs" which is a strange word you probably haven’t heard around Bozeman. (If by chance you are from the Netherlands you would know all about it!) Woonerf is a living street that minimizes the area consumed by streets in a neighborhood and encourages interaction among residents. The Lakes at Valley West subdivision is filling in quickly with some homes currently for sale and a couple of building lots available.
Middle Creek Parklands is a relatively new Bozeman subdivision near the Black Bull Golf Community. It is made up of single-family homes, and its newest section, The Pines at Middle Creek will be a premier condo community. This neighborhood will have 42 residences when complete, all single-level living with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2-car attached garages. There will be private patios between each of the units with fencing around the patio areas. This community will connect with the Middle Creek trail to give access to the parks in that subdivision.
There’s not nearly as much development going on the southside of Bozeman compared to northwest Bozeman, but the Southbridge subdivision has seen a lot of development happening over the years. It is located right off of S.19th near Meadow Creek subdivision. There are fantastic views of the Spanish Peaks, Bridger and Gallatin mountains. It’s easy to get to MSU and downtown from Southbridge subdivision and you’re still just short drive to Hyalite Canyon for all of your outdoor recreation. There is a nice amount of open space and future parks planned in Southbridge. The newest phases of Southbridge feature beautiful, modern homes including the Blackwood homes. Just down the road are new high-end 2 and 3 bedroom condos currently under construction. The Lykke Condos are yet another new housing option in Southbridge. These Northern European inspired homes will have large floorplans, solar and high-quality craftsmanship. With a private site, community garden and fruit orchard adjacent to park space, the Lykke Condos are practically their own subdivision.
Development in West Winds subdivision began a few years ago but saw a big slow down while the Bozeman market recovered from the last recession. Take a drive around West Winds now. and you’ll see it is back in full force with lots of homes going up each month, and development getting ready for the next phases. It's proximity to Baxter Lane and Oak Street make West Winds subdivision conveniently located to just about everything. The newest development in West Winds are the Winter Park West Condos. These stand-alone condos live like a single-family residence while having landscaping and snow removal taken care of.
