With the Yellowstone River flowing alongside it and the Paradise Valley as a backdrop it's easy to see the appeal of Livingston Montana. With its proximity to Yellowstone National Park, it's also a tourist hot spot. Livingston was originally a railroad town, but now the population of around 7,000 consists of a number of artists and writers, along with ranchers. This small Montana town still holds much of the old west ambiance. It is a mix of historic homes near the downtown and the river and sprawling properties on the outskirts and into the Paradise Valley. As Bozeman's growth continues, people are looking towards Livingston as a place to set roots.
