While rumors have been flying about a new grocery store in Belgrade, it has been officially announced that Rosauers Supermarkets plans to a new location in the Jackrabbit Crossing development in Belgrade.
In a recent press release, Venture West Development announced that the grocer had signed a long-term lease in the 196-acre mixed-use development just West of Jackrabbit Lane and North of W. Cameron Bridge. Rosauers serves the Inland Pacific Northwest, with over 20 stores throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. In Montana, locations include Libby, Kalispell, Missoula, and Bozeman.
Todd Waller, principal of Venture West Development, said, “With a high-profile grocer like Rosauers, we foresee an influx of retailers and restaurants eager to establish themselves in the area. Such a prominent anchor tenant tends to draw a diverse range of businesses looking to capitalize on the increased customer traffic. At full buildout, the development is expected to generate over 67,000 trips per day.” Jackrabbit Crossing is expected to bring restaurants, convenience stores, and hotels to the area.
Venture West Development is also behind the Amazon Distribution center that is proposed for this area. The 53,000 sq.ft building would handle thousands of packages each day and would create somewhere around 100 jobs.
