7 New Restaurants Coming to Bozeman (2026 Update)

If it feels like there’s been a constant stream of restaurant news in Bozeman lately, you’re not imagining it. From new concepts to longtime spaces changing hands, there’s a lot happening right now! Here’s what’s opening this spring and summer.

1. Preshift Pizza

What was once Tarantino’s is now PreShift Cafe & Pizzeria. New ownership took over in fall 2023, and they’re now fully rebranding, rebuilding the menu, and moving locations. PreShift is relocating to 315 E. Main Street (the former Vino Per Tutti space). They’re still serving pizza, but have expanded the menu to include 100% Montana beef Philly cheesesteaks, smash burgers, house-made bread, a coffee bar, and breakfast burritos. Their original location was set to close on April 26, with the new space expected to open soon.

2. Baadshah Cuisine of India

Not one, but two Indian restaurants announced Bozeman openings this month, and Baadshah Cuisine of India is one of them. They will be opening in Midtown, in the old Audrey's Pizza building at 806 N 7th Ave. According to their social media, they operate several highly rated restaurants in Utah and are known for high-quality ingredients, authentic food, and good service. 

3. Saffron Indian Cuisine 

Nova Café quietly closed a few months ago, and we’re not the only ones who’ve been wondering what would take its place. Now we know! Saffron Indian Cuisine is expected to move into the old Nova Cafe space, though an exact opening timeline hasn’t been confirmed. For now, “soon” seems to be the general consensus. Based on recent social media posts, they’re planning a casual dining experience with approachable pricing, making it an easy option for a wide range of diners.

4. Proud Rooster BBQ

Proud Rooster BBQ was announced earlier this month on social media. According to the post, the restaurant will focus on grab-and-go, high-quality BBQ, and brisket breakfast tacos. It will be located next to Hybrid Motion in Four Corners, just a few doors down from Aurora French Bakery. Opening is expected this summer.

5. Provecho

We shared this one a few months ago, and we’re still just as excited about it. Chef Kenan Anderson of Blackbird Kitchen has built a strong following with his pop-up concept, Provecho. Now, it’s getting a permanent home, opening inside the Bozeman Hotel in the former Tarantino’s space. The menu will focus on rustic, Mexican-inspired dishes made with local, handmade ingredients. Safe to say this is one a lot of people are watching closely.

6. Khanom on 9^th

One of Bozeman’s favorite Thai restaurants is expanding with a second in-town location near MSU. Khanom Thai has been a hit since opening its first spot off Huffine near Hop Lounge just a year ago. Now, they’re bringing a second location to 721 S 9th Ave (the former South 9th Bistro space). An official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but we will keep you posted!

7. Wingstop

There’s been a bit of buzz around Wingstop coming to Bozeman, and it’s now officially open. The new location is at 1450 Twin Lakes Avenue, next to Chipotle Mexican Grill near Gallatin High School. Wingstop is a national chain known for chicken wings, tenders, fries, and a wide range of sauces and dry rubs. This marks another national brand entering the Bozeman market, adding to the growing mix of local spots and larger chains around town.

Bonus Restaurant

Nissa by Food for Thought

Nissa opened quietly at the beginning of the year, but word is starting to get out. Their menu leans “French-rooted Mediterranean,” with simple, well-executed dishes. Located next to Umvelt, the space is centered around nourishment and rest, offering something a little different from the typical Bozeman restaurant scene. The menu rotates frequently and features hearty soups, salads, sandwiches, and shareables, along with a strong lineup of mocktails and desserts. Definitely worth checking out!
