Summary: Since the old Town & Country building on 19th Ave sold in 2024, the big question has been: what’s next for the space? The answer is Kiln, a fast-growing coworking company based in Utah. They’ve done a beautiful job with the remodel, and we are so glad the tree out front still stands! But our hearts will forever miss the old Town & Country.
Kiln builds flexible, amenity-rich workspaces for entrepreneurs, startups, and remote teams. Kiln was founded in 2017 and now operates 20+ locations across eight states.
Kiln offers shared coworking space, private offices, meeting rooms, and a long list of lifestyle and wellness amenities designed to support growing companies and creative professionals. Their locations typically include:
Meeting rooms
Private offices and suites
Wellness and fitness amenities
Podcast studios and creative spaces
Kitchens, lounges, and community gathering areas
Networking and professional events
Kiln Bozeman officially opened in November 2025, transforming the former Town & Country building into a 30,000-square-foot workspace.
According to Kiln, the Bozeman location is “ideally positioned to tap into the university’s talent pool and contribute to the region’s growing startup ecosystem.” Its proximity to MSU is one of the major selling points, offering immediate access to talent, innovation, and collaboration opportunities.
The Bozeman workspace includes:
Conference and meeting rooms
A podcast studio
A fitness room and onsite showers
Fully stocked kitchen and community space
A parenting room and a relaxation room
Wellness programming and networking events
Treadmill and bike desks
Bozeman continues to grow as a hub for innovation and remote work in the Mountain West. Kiln's leadership has cited Bozeman’s entrepreneurial community, access to MSU talent, and strong demand for flexible workspace as key reasons for choosing this market.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a former grocery store in Bozeman has been reimagined as a coworking space. When Heebs Grocery moved to its new East Main Street location, the old downtown building became The Sidecar, a community-oriented coworking space.
