Bozeman's Northeast Neighborhood - Bozeman Real Estate Group
BOZEMAN REAL ESTATE BLOG

Northeast Bozeman has always been one of the most unique neighborhoods in Bozeman. Years ago, it was where the workers at the railroad, brewery, and pea cannery lived and it remained mostly industrial until the early 2000's. With homes dating back to the 1880's, the history runs deep in northeast Bozeman yet it has seen more changes recently than many other parts of Bozeman.

Many of the smaller, older homes have been remodeled into large modern homes creating an eclectic mix of residences. In recent years there have been many developments, such as the Wildlands, Wallace Works, and the BG Mill Project, plus new redevelopment plans where the Bronken's Distributing building is. All of these new developments are planned to be mixed-use with commercial space and high-end residences. There's a reason people are drawn to this area. It's unique, and walkable to downtown Bozeman, but everything you need is right in the neighborhood!

Coffee and Food

Wild Crumb Bakery has been in the neighborhood for some time now and you'll often see a line out the door. They make organic bread and have delicious homemade pastries like croissants & tarts. They also have coffee and sandwiches. Speaking of coffee, Treeline is right next door! This location has its roasting room, a small retail section, and a full espresso bar. Also next door to Wild Crumb is Fink's. This little deli is a gem on the northeast side. They have the best sandwiches, plus meat, cheese, wine, and more grab-and-go items. Taco Montes also has a food truck in the area with patio tables!

Breweries

Bozeman's original brewery has always been home in this neighborhood. Bozeman Brewing Company has been there for 20 years and except for a few updates remains mostly the same, which we love! Nothing beats a good ol' Bozone! Nearby is Mountains Walking Brewery. If you're looking for food with your beer, this is the place to go. They have a wood-fired oven with lots of pizza options on their menu. They also have great burgers and their tachos are the best!

Entertainment

Live from the Divide is one of Bozeman's best-kept secrets. Or it was, the cat is out of the bag now! But, it has remained an amazing venue with an intimate space to enjoy live music. No matter who you hear play here, it's an experience. We suggest grabbing a beer at Bozeman Brewing, dinner at Mountains Walking, and then head to a show.

Story Mill Park and Trails

Story Mill Park is 60 acres with a fantastic playground, picnic areas, a community garden, a climbing rock, and trails. There is also a Nature Sanctuary and dog park. The creek runs along the side of the park and there is tons of open space. It is walkable from the northeast neighborhoods and a beautiful addition to the area. The Bridger views are hard to beat from this park!

Shopping

Walking around the northeast neighborhood you're sure to find some local gems. Gangbusters Pottery is one of our favorites. He's been around since 2012 making beautiful pottery.  Urbaine Home is a boutique that features home goods from around the world. The owners are interior designers and have created a truly beautiful space on the northeast side of Bozeman. This is also where Medium Gallery is located, a collaborative workspace, showroom, and art gallery.  Photo credit Gangbusters Pottery

Beauty and Fitness

There are several businesses in the area for beauty and fitness! Theory Hair Salon and Spruce and Honey have your beauty needs covered. Yogamotion, Bridger Pilates, and Oula Bozeman are there for fitness. The best thing about all the businesses in this area is when you go to them, you are supporting local!
