We just heard that Bozeman is finally getting its own splash park at the Story Mill Community Park, and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
Plans for the “Splash Pad” were included in the original Story Mill Community Park master plan, but the budget did not allow for it when the park was first opened in the summer of 2019. Since the park’s opening, the City of Bozeman and the Trust for Public Land have been working towards completing the park's master plan, which includes construction of the splash pad.
The Trust for Public Land has obtained design plans for the splash pad from Field Studio Landscape Architects, as well as a donation of $155,000 from a private donor that will go towards the cost of construction. The Splash Pad will be located on the southwest side of the park, near the parking area. Construction for the Splash Pad is expected to begin this summer, no word yet on how long it will take.
