It seems that there are always changes happening downtown. In the last few months, Girls Outdoors, Kitty Warren, El Camino, Downtown Antiques, and Little Angels Boutique all closed their doors. But when one door closes, another opens. Here are 5 new businesses that are coming to downtown Bozeman.
Fjallraven, a popular outdoor clothing and equipment company will be opening a store at 1 East Main Street, which was formerly Girls Outdoors. The company is based in Sweden but has stores in 14 states in the U.S. This will be the first Fjallraven store in Montana. The opening date is TBD.
Jackson Hole based company Stio is known for its high-end outdoor apparel. According to their website, they have wanted to open a store in Bozeman for quite some time but were waiting to find the right location. The Stio store will be located at 233 E Main Street in the Osborne Building. They are expected to open in the fall.
Belle Cose is a “luxury lifestyle boutique” with stores in Florida, California, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and now Bozeman. They will be located in the Osborne Building and will be selling home goods, clothing, and luxury jewelry.
These days it’s not just cowboys that wear cowboy boots, which explains why the Western footwear company Lucchese Boots is opening a store in downtown Bozeman. Lucchese Boots will be located at 131 E Main Street, which was previously Little Angels Boutique.
Meridian Boutique has been a successful business in downtown Bozeman for 20 years, and recently they expanded to offer a men’s boutique as well. Meridian Men is now open and is located at 107 E Main Street, in the old Silver Annie’s space.
Ten years ago, downtown Bozeman was a different place. We miss the days of Sylvester's, Leaf & Bean, and Poor Richards. While we can't stop change, we can choose to support all of the locally-owned businesses downtown.
