Plans have been submitted to the city for a new 288-unit housing development in Midtown Bozeman. Located just west of the U-Haul building and southwest of the Bozeman Inn, the Aspen 8 Residences are expected to be a mixed-income project, bringing 115 income and rent-restricted units to the market that would be affordable for households making 60% less than the median income.
The project is being developed by Starman Development, a national developer that specializes in focusing on Affordable Housing to meet the needs of America’s growing workforce.
According to documents submitted to the city, the first two floors of the planned 7-story building will consist of retail space, amenity space, and a parking garage. This project also includes the development of public infrastructure and will extend Aspen and Juniper Streets onto North 8th Avenue.
Designs for the project were shared by KSQ Design, a national architecture firm that stated “the project prioritized amenities aimed at promoting physical well-being and sustainability. The state-of-the-art fitness center caters to a variety of fitness routines, making it convenient and simple for residents to prioritize their health. Embracing eco-conscious principles, a dedicated bike room facilitates easy access to Bozeman's extensive trail network, promoting sustainable modes of transportation and outdoor exploration.”
