We've got good news and bad news. The good news is that this year Bozeman is going to have a fireworks show for the first time since 2019. The bad news is that aside from the show, fireworks have been banned in the city of Bozeman.
So, if you want to catch fireworks in Bozeman, the official Fourth of July Fireworks show is your best bet. The show will be put on by the City of Bozeman and will be at the Softball Complex off of Highland Blvd at 10:00 p.m.
Peets Hill is just west of the Softball Complex and will give you a great view of the fireworks show. You will want to make sure that you walk up Peet's Hill far enough so that you can see the hospital, and from there you will have a pretty good view of the show.
It's going to be from a distance, but watching the fireworks from The M, is still one of our top picks. As long as you are adventurous enough to hike down in the dark!
To make the Fourth of July a whole day event, head to the East Gallatin Recreation Area. You can swim and enjoy the beach all day, and stick around to watch fireworks in the distance from there. It's not going to be the best view, but it is a great way to spend the day! If you need to get out of the sun, head across the water to MAP Brewing for a beer and some food.
Speaking of beer, a rooftop bar is a perfect spot to watch the fireworks. We suggest the Rooftop at Shine Beer Sanctuary and the deck at the Bozeman Taproom as the best rooftop bars to watch the fireworks this year.
Happy Fourth of July!
