Spring has officially arrived in Bozeman (at least for today!) Along with the change in weather comes a shift in the local business scene, as several new businesses are preparing to open their doors in downtown Bozeman.
We’ve heard whispers of a few other changes coming downtown that we can’t announce quite yet, so be sure to follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our Local Info newsletter to stay in the loop.
Frugals Burger, a small but award-winning franchise, is bringing its beloved burgers to Bozeman. Known for serving up affordable burgers, fries, sandwiches, and shakes, Frugals has earned a loyal following across its Washington and Montana locations—and was even voted “Best in the Northwest.” Their newest location will open this July at 113 E Main Street, formerly home to Tanoshi. We’re excited to welcome another tasty and budget-friendly dining option to downtown Bozeman!
Miguel and Co, a vintage clothing store that specializes in western workwear, has opened up shop at 131 W Babcock, a great little retail space just a block off of Main Street that was previously home to Rare Bird (you can find Rare Bird’s new location a block away on Willson Ave). This will be their second location, with the first being in Laramie, WY. They are now open, follow them on Instagram for updates!
An Italian Restaurant called Tutti Bene will be opening downtown in September. Featuring “a sophisticated culinary experience rooted in classical Italian tradition”, Tutti Bene will be located 224 E Main Street, next to Mackenzie River Pizza. The 4,300 sq. ft space is currently under construction and will ultimately have seating for 100 guests. The restaurant will showcase Italian favorites with fresh local ingredients and a selection of prime aged beef and local bison. The restaurant space will have a floor-to-ceiling wine display and is designed to "reflect Bozeamn's charm with a nod to classic Italian style through a mix of antique, modern elements and décor inspired by the celebratory spirit of its name, Tutti Bene."
If you’re looking for a bar with a vibe, you’ll find it at Tommy’s R&D MC. With motorcycles suspended from the ceiling and a moody atmosphere, we are excited to check this place out! According to their Instagram, they have a selection of over 100 whiskeys, and are also serving up some delicious looking cocktails. They are located at 39 Rouse Avenue which was most recently Montana Provisions.
Colorado based Crossbow Leather joined the downtown Bozeman business scene in April. Located at 127 E. Main Street, right next to the Crystal Bar, Crossbow sells a variety of handcrafted leather goods along with western style wear. Follow them on Instagram to see more.
Meili Vodka came on the scene in 2023 and has quickly taken the spirits world by storm winning several awards and even being named the Best Vodka in the World in 2024. The brand has Montana roots – founder Blaine Halvorson is from Montana, and the vodka is crafted using water and grains from Western Montana. With that, Meili Vodka now has a space in downtown Bozeman. As far as we can tell, these are offices and not a storefront, but we will update this post as we learn more!
Bozeman has been buzzing about Spitz, a popular Mediterranean street food restaurant since their Bozeman location was announced last summer. After not-so-patiently waiting for nearly a year, they opened this spring, and we've got to tell you it was worth the wait! They have been insanely busy since they opened, but trust us, it's worth the wait!
