Northwest Crossing is a large master-planned community located kitty-corner to Gallatin High School at the corner of Oak and Cottonwood. The development recently received approval from the city commissioners. The piece of land is 160 acres and the plans include commercial space and multi-family in the first phase. The second phase includes the extension of Cottonwood Road which currently ends at Oak Street. They are proposing 350 residential units in this phase that will include single-family, duplexes, and townhomes. In total, the developers are proposing more than 700 residences.
The neighborhood will be a mix of residential and commercial along with 30 acres of park, open space, and walking trails. The commercial district will be approximately 150,000 sq.ft and includes restaurants, retail, and offices.
The first residential units to be built in Northwest Crossing will be the Icon Apartments at Northwest Crossing. This will include 336 apartments with a mix of one, two, and three bedrooms units. They plan on these being available to rent. Following that there will be a mix of housing options including two-story single-family homes, alley-loaded single-family homes, and three-story townhomes. These will be a mix of for rent and for sale.
