A Christmas Carol @ The Ellen

December 5th – 21st

We are not sure what we love more, catching a live Christmas show or visiting The Ellen Theatre. Either way, this one will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. This classic Christmas story is performed by some of Bozeman’s most talented performers in one of Bozeman’s most beautiful buildings. You can get your tickets here.

Truck Village and Convoy

December 5th @ 5:00 pm, December 6th @ 6:00 pm

This is one of Belgrade’s most popular Christmas events. Nearly 100 decorated trucks roll through town in a lighted convoy, and it’s grown so much that organizers added a Truck Village the night before at the Gallatin Speedway. The Truck Village takes place Friday at 5:00 pm, and the convoy begins Saturday at 6:00 pm. You can find more info on their Facebook page.

Nutcracker Display at Lewis and Clark Motel

November 28th – December 22nd, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

The Lewis & Clark Motel has been putting on its Nutcracker display for as long as we can remember, and it is growing every year. With more than 1,300 nutcrackers on display, a letter to Santa station, cookies, and replays of classic Christmas movies, this will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. Just a note, this is a very small space, so if you are bringing a large group or small kids, keep that in mind! 

Christmas Stroll

December 6th, 4:30 - 7:30

The Christmas Stroll is one of Bozeman’s most beloved holiday traditions, so it naturally earns a place on this list. Main Street fills with thousands of people as Santa makes his way downtown to light the Christmas decorations, turning the whole area into a festive gathering. There’s plenty of food, activities for all ages, and the gingerbread house display that always draws a crowd.

Holiday Light Park (Belgrade)

November 25th – January 9th from dusk until midnight.

If Christmas lights are your thing, you won’t want to miss the Holiday Light Park at the Belgrade Senior Center. An entire park is filled with light displays, tunnels, and there is a giant ornament that is perfect for photo ops. This is a great Christmas activity for those of all ages.

Homestead Holiday at the Museum of the Rockies

December 12th & 13th 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Go back in time and get into the Christmas Spirit at the historic Tinsley House. This Museum of the Rockies event will have you singing along with carolers, watching a holiday-themed planetarium show, crafting Victorian-themed ornaments and getting a photo of with St. Nick. Tickets are on sale now.

Winter Art Walk 2025

December 12, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Now this may be the perfect way to do your Christmas shopping. Downtown Bozeman’s winter art walk highlights local artists throughout all of downtown Bozeman’s businesses. You will also find hors d’oeuvres and complimentary refreshments. Shopping doesn’t get much more fun than that! 

Elf Jr Musical

December 19th, , 7:00 pm

December 20th, 1:00 & 7:00 pm

For a kid friendly Christmas show, the Bozeman Children’s Theatre will be putting on a performance of Elf Jr., a holiday musical for kids of all ages. With more than 100 performers between kindergarten and high-school age, this show at The Emerson Theatre will definitely be a lot of fun! 

Skate with Santa

December 14th, 3:00 – 5:00 pm

If you’re looking for some excitement. Gallatin Ice will be hosting a Skate with Santa event where you can, well, you guessed it, Skate with Santa! There will be hot cocoa, baked goods, and a free figure skating performance from 1:30 – 3:00, followed by the Skate with Santa event from 3:00 – 5:00. Tickets are $10/skater, which includes equipment, and spectators are free. You can purchase your tickets here.

Reindeer at Murdochs

December 20th, 11:00 – 4:00

Your chance to say hello to Santa’s reindeer will be at Murdoch's just a few days before Christmas. Not only do you get to see real, live reindeer, but they will also have a place for kids to write letters to Santa, a coloring station, and reindeer snacks you can take home!
