The Murray Bar has been a staple in Livingston for over 100 years! It’s a hometown bar where you can have a drink with friends and listen to live music. Right next door is Gil’s Goods, a restaurant where you can get wood-fired pizza, burgers, and delicious desserts. Sit on the bar side or at Gil’s, or if it’s a sunny side grab a table on the sidewalk for some people watching.
The 2nd Street Bistros has been a fine dining option in downtown Livingston since 2004. They feature classical French cooking with local ingredients, including produce from their urban farm during the summer months. This one gained popularity when Anthony Bourdain visited Livingston and featured 2nd Street Bistro on his show.

You simply cannot go to Livingston and not visit Mark’s In and Out. They have been serving up burgers and milkshakes since 1954. Mark’s is not a sit down restaurant, you order at the outside window and wait patiently for your food. Because they are only open in the summer you will always find a line but trust us, it is worth the wait!
