What’s Being Built at 19th and Kagy? Alpenglow Apartments
On Oct 13, 2026
Summary: The open lot at the southeast corner of South 19th Avenue and Kagy Boulevard has broken ground on Alpenglow, a 273-unit apartment community with a clubhouse and a 10,000-square-foot commercial building. Developer Keyhole Capital lists 2028 as the completion year.
What are the Alpenglow Apartments in Bozeman?
If you've caught yourself staring at the corner of 19th and Kagy lately wondering what is under construction - here's your answer. Wisconsin-based Keyhole Capital is building three five-story apartment buildings with 273 units on 8.2 acres. The plans also include a clubhouse and a 10,000-square-foot commercial building along Kagy.
- Pedestrian-oriented design, with tuck-under structured parking that screens vehicles from the natural setting
- Walkable to MSU, downtown Bozeman, and an adjacent public park
Planned amenities include a fitness facility, pool and hot tub, clubhouse, and business center for remote workers (full amenity list still in development)
How much parking will there be at the Alpenglow Apartments?
The city site plan calls for 510 spaces, which works out to just under two per apartment. Planned amenities include a fitness center, pool and hot tub, and a business center for residents.
Keep in mind the plans date back to 2023 and 2024, so details could shift before Keyhole's 2028 target. We'll update this post as things change.
Alpenglow is the next addition to South University District
Development in the South University District started more than a decade ago with student housing like Stadium View and The Arrow, which brought about 1,400 beds near campus. Several housing projects are underway in the area now, but Alpenglow is arguably one of the most significant, given its size and prominent location at this busy intersection.
