Downtown Bozeman is always buzzing. Every time we turn around, it seems like there is a new business opening up! This fall, not one but four new businesses are opening their doors downtown. From a specialty flower shop to a western-inspired bar, here's a look at the latest.
Marketplas just opened its doors in downtown Bozeman, bringing a fresh mix of wine, floral arrangements, and specialty gift foods. They’ve taken over the space formerly home to Red Sugar Dim Sum (and for our OG locals, the old Poor Richard’s). Inside, you’ll find select-and-build bouquet services alongside custom floral designs for events and holiday installations. Add in their curated wines and artisan foods, and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful storefront!
Named after a bar that used to sit just one door West, Stockman’s Bar is getting ready to open in what used to be Schnees. Don’t panic, Schnees is still in business, but they have consolidated to half of their old space, while Stockman Bar takes over the other side. The Stockman’s Bar is described as a “classic western saloon and eatery” and from what we can see so far on their Instagram, it will definitely live up to that.
Since opening their doors in Four Corners a few years ago, Aurore French Bakery has built a huge following, and we can’t blame them! Their baked goods are insane. Now, they are opening their second location in the Baxter Hotel, right between The Baccus and Ted's Montana Grill. They are serving the baked goods they are known for (made from French flour) and coffee roasted in Paris. Next time you are craving something sweet downtown, go check them out!
We’ve mentioned this unique downtown business a few times now, but they are finally getting ready to open their doors this fall, and we can’t wait to check it out! Umvelt is an urban bathhouse, inspired by traditional Russian bathhouses that involve heat, cold, and other rituals. The vision behind the business, and its location downtown, is to create a “third space” outside of bars and restaurants for people to gather. There will be saunas, a cold plunge, a steam room, and a pool, as well as a café. The space will be limited to adults 18 and over. This is going to be such a cool addition to downtown Bozeman!
