Have you taken a walk downtown lately? With so many new businesses opening, it’s hard to keep up with Bozeman right now. While most of these new businesses have made their home on Main Street, a couple are branching out further. From retail to restaurants to yet another brewery, there’s a little bit of everything in Bozeman.
Not only does this place have burgers they also have beer, hard cider AND kombucha on tap! Located in the former Bistro space, Backcountry Burger Bar is keeping up with Bozeman’s favorite theme of locally sourced, sustainable food that is made from scratch. Vegetarian? Not to worry, they have a great veggie burger option. It’s a fast, casual restaurant and it's family friendly.
We are of the belief that waffles and crepes can make any day a good one. At this new Bozeman restaurant, it gets even better when you can build your own waffle with toppings such as Bequet caramel sauce and sprinkles. The crepes offer just as much variety in flavors with the "Montana" being our favorite (marshmallow, crushed graham cracker and dark chocolate sauce…yes please!) They are located right next to Country Bookshelf and open seven days a week.
Bozeman keeps growing in the northwest part of town so it’s only logical that restaurants are making their way out here. Sidewinders is the latest one and with the rooftop bar and Bridger Mountain views is sure to stay busy all summer long. They are family friendly, feature classic American food and have a ton of beer on tap. Add this one to your summer list!
Lot G is the newest restaurant from the owner of Nova and Feed so you know it has to be amazing! Just like with Feed, they decided to venture past downtown Bozeman with Lot G making its home in the up and coming Cannery District on the north side of town. The space is beautiful in the old Pea Canning Warehouse which has been transformed into a modern space with industrial touches. Lot G offers breakfast and lunch with a little bit of everything. Pancake lasagna, hvevos and hoisin noodle bowls to name a few. Yum. (Photo credit Lot G Cafe)
Another one to add to the summer list is Sweet Peaks Ice Cream. The original shop was founded in Whitefish Montana and after opening several throughout Montana, they finally made their way to Bozeman. Lucky us! The flavors they come up with are so fun and change seasonally so there is always something new to try. We love how many of the flavors are locally inspired such as the Honey Granola & Flathead Cherry or London Fog made with Earl Grey tea from a local Whitefish tea company. This one has lemon peel and vanilla cookies in it. Sounds amazing. They are located in the old Rockford Coffee spot on North 7th and Main Street. P.S. They have ice cream for your four-legged, furry friends!!
This new women’s clothing store is stunning. Brick walls, funky chandeliers, wood floors and a bar in the back to enjoy a class of Rose while you shop (yep, they have it on tap!) They have clothes, jewelry, shoes, accessories and some great gift items like candles or fun socks. This is a beautiful addition to downtown Bozeman.
We are pretty much obsessed with this store and everything in it. They have clothes, dish towels, coffee cups, stickers, hats…all printed with designs that have been hand drawn, created and printed by them. The variety of the designs are impressive with something for every type of Bozemanite…skiers, hunters, cowboys, hipsters, fly-fishers, hikers or mountain lovers. It’s a fun place to browse for yourself or to find that unique gift. And, of course take your out-of-town visitors here so they can take home a little Bozeman love.
Imagine a coffee house/boutique/hair salon all wrapped up in one pretty bohemian package…that’s Boho Boze. This place was inspired by a desire to bring Bozeman together to enjoy art, music and culture. Downtown Bozeman is the perfect place for this. When you walk in you are greeted with a coffee shop vibe, move in further to find a small retail section of jewelry, clothes and accessories and then all the way in the back is an eight-chair hair salon.
The newest yoga studio in downtown recently opened in this beautiful space. The full service studio offers locker room facilities, towel service, free wi-fi, storage space and fruit-infused waters on tap. It takes yoga to the next level. They have a variety of teachers and offer classes from beginner to advanced with their goal to bring a safe and comfortable place for anyone who wants to practice yoga. Namaste.
This one isn't open yet, but we hear it's supposed to by the end of summer. They plan to offer as many beers as there are mountains around us and we can't wait to try them. There are a lot of breweries in Bozeman and each brings its own unique quality beyond beer. Here they will have pizza from the wood-fired hearth and other locally-sourced bites that will pair with their beers. They will be located in the north part of town near Bozeman Brewing Company...one stop two breweries!
Spitz, a popular Mediterranean street food restaurant will be opening at 1101 E. Main Street, across from Lindley Park....
The restaurant called gute Laune, will be serving German-inspired food with local ingredients....
If you're a native or long-time Bozeman local, you'll remember the northeast side of Bozeman as being a "rough" part of town. But over the past decade, the northeast side...
