YETI® to Purchase Bozeman-Based MYSTERY RANCH®

It was just announced this morning that YETI® has signed an agreement to purchase Bozeman-based business MYSTERY RANCH®.

Founded in Bozeman in 2000, MYSTERY RANCH® has become a renowned manufacturer of durable load-bearing backpacks. In an August 2023 article by The Daily Outdoor Retailer, the president of MYSTERY RANCH® discussed recent challenges the company has been facing including an oversupply of inventory, lower consumer spending, and a difficult wholesale market. 

In a press release, YETI® president Matt Reintjes said “MYSTERY RANCH® packs have earned a global reputation within the most demanding communities by building load-bearing equipment that delivers in the harshest environments. Their ethos, passion, and people not only align with the YETI® team but also connect well with our commitment to innovation and our customers. Their communities, ambassadors, and obsession with quality make it a natural fit with YETI®.”

According to the press release, MYSTERY RANCH® and its team will continue to operate in Bozeman. YETI® is based in Austin, Texas.
