There have been a lot of changes in Bozeman, specifically downtown. It can be hard to keep up! Here’s what’s new and what we know.
Bozeman’s newest Mexican restaurant, La Esquina is in the Cannery District. Its flagship restaurant is in New York City where reservations are tough to come by. The unique atmosphere gives off cool kid vibes and the food is said to be authentic. We look forward to giving this one a try!
Chef Greg is not new to the Bozeman food scene, but he recently opened a space for cooking classes and it has already been a huge success! Located where Z’s Kitchen used to be is now the place to go to learn how to cook amazing meals! These classes are becoming so popular they sell out quickly! What a fun idea for your next date night or girls night out!

This bar quietly opened on North Bozeman where Pakeezah used to be. If not for a sandwich board sign on Main Street pointing you down to it, you would hardly know it is there. Looking inside it appears to have a very laid-back vibe and space for live music. We have to say, with all the new booshie places in downtown Bozeman, a dive bar vibe is a welcome change around here.

Okay, we are not huge fans of everyone wearing cowboy hats around Bozeman nowadays. We were also bummed to see Carter’s Boots leave downtown Bozeman and a hat shop from LA go into the location just adding to the tourists and newcomers pretending to be cowboys. But…when you read about the owner of Meshika who is a third-generation hat maker you can’t help but appreciate him and the beautiful hats he makes. I think it's one of those situations where if you can't beat em, join em, but let's leave the Coachella collection in California.

There have been several businesses closing their doors downtown. We all heard the news about Kitty Warren, El Camino, Happy Box and Smoke, Fire and Coal closing. Also, the Market downtown and the stores in the building shut their doors, leaving the popular Brigade the only open business in the Osbourne. It will be interesting to see what comes into these locations.
We recently noticed construction breaking ground on West Babcock, where the old JB’s was located. (For all you long-time locals, who else misses the ice cream bar there?) This 1-acre spot will now be Tidal Wave Auto Spa, a drive-thru car wash with vacuum stations. Also in this area, we are sad to hear that Taco Time will most likely be closing, but heard a rumor that Mr. Burrito is eyeing the location which we wouldn’t be mad
about!
Coming soon! We are super excited about Pho Sai Gon opening at the end of March. They are opening next to the Last Best Place Brewery and will feature authentic Vietnamese cuisines like pho, broken rice, and rice vermicelli.
