Georgetown Lake is a 2,800-acre reservoir located about 15 miles west of Anaconda. It’s a popular destination for fishing including ice fishing, boating, and water skiing. There are four campgrounds, five public boat launching sites and two private marinas on the lake. Rock Creek, a world-renowned blue ribbon trout stream is located another 10 miles beyond Georgetown. There are approximately 60 mountain lakes within 25 miles of downtown Anaconda, many of which are accessible with a short hike.
