Social Distancing and House Hunting

Pre-coronavirus, our marketing package already included 3D tours of listings. Imagine our relief when we realized 3D tours were to become the new norm and we didn’t have to scramble from house to house to get those tours done! Many other agents and offices are beginning to add 3D tours to their listings as well, which makes house hunting from the comfort of your home pretty simple. If you are working with one of our agents and the home you are interested in does not have a virtual tour available, your agent can give you a Facetime tour, record a video walk-through, or even build a 3D tour for you.

The Paperwork

20 years ago, would you have ever imagined you could complete an entire real estate transaction without ever meeting your real estate agent face-to-face? When our company was founded, we decided to use an online real estate transaction management program to simplify the real estate process and make it accessible to people who were not able to visit our office in-person. Now in the age of coronavirus, we are sure glad we did that! Our agents are all fully trained in using this program and it is simple, easy to use, and you can sign every document needed to purchase a home right from your couch.

The Closing Table

With the age of social distancing upon us, the closing table looks a little bit different (and a little less crowded). Our local title companies have adapted quickly and now offer several different options for closing on your home while staying safe and protecting others. Homebuyers have the option to sign closing documents from their car, use electronic notary and signing services, or by appointment with all safety precautions taken.

Are Homes Still Being Listed?

Would you believe us if we told you the number of homes that came on the market in March of this year was actually higher than the number of homes listed in March of last year? Not only that, the Big Sky Country MLS stats actually show an increase in new listings in Bozeman between February and March 2020. We would be wrong to say that the coronavirus is not affecting the market here in Bozeman, but so far, it is not affecting it much. This means as a buyer, you still have plenty of homes to choose from. And the really good news is, it won’t be quite as competitive as it was, say, two weeks ago. Oh, how times are changing.

In this graph, you can see the number of new residential listings in Bozeman, Montana over the past year.

Best of luck out there home buyers! If we can help you in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. If you would like to browse our resources for homebuyers, click here.
